Acronis 2015 event log and backup history?

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded from Acronis 2012 to Acronis 2015 on a new Windows 8.1 machine. Backup seems to be working correctly. However, in 2012, there was a "backup history" that showed a calendar with the backup successes or failures. Also, in 2012, Acronis logged events into the Windows event log after success or failure.

I can't find anything like this in 2015. As far as I can tell, there is no way to look at the backup history, and no way to check whether backups succeeded or failed. The only thing I see is on the screen for the backup itself, it shows "Last Backup" and "Next Backup".

Since I can't believe that Acronis would remove important and fundamental information like this in a newer version, I'm hoping that I'm just missing something somewhere. Can anyone help here?

Thanks,

Brian

I'm not sure why Acronis removed the log viewing option, but, one way to get the task log is to select the option to have True Image send an email to you on completetion/failure of a task.

The logs themselves are still in the same place on your machine as earlier versions and can be read either by an XML viewer or a text editor such as Notepad/Wordpad etc.

I'll look into that, but this is just insane. As it is right now, there is nothing that notifies you if a backup failed?! The only way to check is to manually open Acronis and look at what it says for "Last Backup". Meaning you can only ever see this information for the last backup, and nothing else.

What is Acronis thinking?! I'll be contacting support directly, because this is just ridiculous.
