Acronis and Win 7 backup/restore functions

Thread needs solution

Running Acronis True Image Home 2011 Update 2 - 6857. Is it possible to install Acronis True Image Home 2011 Update 2 - 6857 (Trial vrsion) without loosing the Windows 7 Pro 64bit Backup features in Contol Panel.

One post suggest a "Repair Install" to recover Win Backup/Restore features...but is therre anyway to prevent Acronis from deactivating the Windows backup system when installing Acronis ?

Are there any issues having both Acronis and Windows Backup/Create Image functions running at the same time.

Thanks...Tim

Tim,

With the latest build, you should be OK. Make sure that the integration options under Help > settings > Integrate with Windows are OK with you.

Did a clean install (using Acronis cleaner) after unindstalling last version and same issue with 6857...Winows Backup/Restore in Control Panel is a dead link...nothing happens when you click on it ?

Same issue with the previous build ?

Is there any way to undo what Acronis does to Windows Backup besides running a complete repair install of Windows from the Win 7 boot disk ?
