Acronis Backup Archive Explorer not installing - no Explorer integration of tib-files...

Thread needs solution

Hello!

I have ATIH 2013 and have succesfully installed the Acronis Backup Archive Explorer on my own pc, but when I try to install the program on another pc, the Explorer-plugin is not installed giving my no Explorer extensions or .tib-file associations in Explorer.

I have tried to install the .inf/.sys files manually through device management but this does not help with the aim of browsing .tib-files in Explorer.

I really need this feature and have also tried reinstalling (and cleaning installation) without success. What is blocking this element from being installed?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Søren

Suppot for the WD version is by Western Digital.

I am not aware of an extra install for the Explorer.  The installation file is just one file.

You might want to consider uninstalling and re-installing the software.

Normally, in TrueImage versions, user can double click on the TIB backup file and the backup will open for examination and file copy.

The WD-version works just as the non-WD with limited functionality though. However, the Explorer plugin is part of the installation.

I have just copied the .sys and .inf file from a working installation to the problem pc and installed the Acronis Backup Archive Explorer via device management. This works fine as install - but does not give me the file association nor the ability to explore an archive in Explorer...

I don't know why this is blocked during installation (have tried several times with AVG etc. turned off) - but something must block this plugin. Maybe some system setting or another "virtuel drive"-app etc.

Thanks,

Søren
