Acronis bootable media doesn't recognize internal SSD M.2 NVMe

Hi! So, I'm booting my laptop (HP Pavilion x360 14-dh0021) with Acronis True Image 2015 on a USB drive and found it imposible to clone my HDD (Toshiba SATA 1TB) to a new SSD because Acronis doesn't recognize the internal SSD (Kingston m.2 500 GB PCIe NVMe).

The Acronis usb drive and the external usb HDD (the source) are recognized, but not the internal SSD at all.

I've read something about switching from RAID to AHCI, that It might be the problem, but I'm not too sure about that and don't want to risk making a mistake and corrupting my files.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

Hello!

Welcome to the forum.

What B.media are you using?

Did you tried with the WinPE already? https://kb.acronis.com/content/48152

Please also refer to https://kb.acronis.com/content/45330https://kb.acronis.com/content/47606

If the disk is not detected, adding the driver to the WinPE media can help. The disk has just one driver, which can easily be found in the Device Manager. Locate it and then follow https://kb.acronis.com/content/69937

Best regards!

Sorry but ATI2015 predates the technology used by NVMe M.2 SSD's so it is no surprise that it has no support for the same.

If Kingston offered you the option of downloading a copy of their OEM version of True Image with the purchase of the new SSD, then that should be a much more recent version such as ATI 2021 which will have support for this type of SSD when using 'Simple' WinPE / WinRE rescue media.

Kingston have an OEM version, and the build I have is dated late December 2022.
