Acronis Bootable Media not Recgonizing MediaSonic eSATA RAID+ external drive

Thread needs solution

I have True Image 2013 with Plus Pack ( Build 6514 ) and have created a bootable disk using the bootable media ISO. The system is a desktop running Windows 8 Pro installed on a Crucial M4 512GB SSD and Intel motherboard with UEFI bios. The external backup disk is a Mediasonic Raid+ Dual Bay eSATA with 2 Seagate Barracuda 3 TB drives configured as RAID 1 using GPT partition.

My goal is to do regular boot drive disk clones to the external drive so that I may have system disk backups. My problem is that the True Image bootable DVD does not see the Mediasonic external disk as a location to use for backup. Since Windows 8 can see the disk with no problem, what do I need to do to get the Acronis boot loader software on the media disc to do the same? Can anyone help me with my issue?

Build 6514 of the Rescue Media has an issue with GPT partitioned disks.

Contact Acronis support and open a case with them. They can make available to you a build 6528 Rescue Media ISO that corrects this issue.

Be sure to pursue this case as a recovery issue (it is), and there will be no charge for support.
