Acronis disables card reader on desktop

Thread needs solution

Recently upgraded OS to Windows 7. After installing Acronis True Image Home 2012 it disabled my card reader. Any suggestions OR have they fixed the "bug"? If the "bug" has been fixed, what is the link for the new program? THANKS
If I unplug the card reader (which is not very convenient)...AND uninstall Acronis and then plug the card reader back in, it will work. I really would like to use Acronis, but not if I have to go through all the trouble.

If you have not installed the lastest version ATIH 2012 build 7133, I would try that first. The drivers Acronis installs on your system have been updated in ATIH 2012 build 7119, and are the same in ATIH 2012 build 7133. If you have registered your serial number for ATIH 2012 on the Acronis website, you can download the latest version from your account .

Hi Anita,
I hope that jame's suggestion will resolve the issue you are experiencing. Newer filter drivers are present in 7119 and 7133.

With earlier builds, some users experienced an issue where USB sticks and card readers would not detect or assign a drive letter to a card or device when connected/inserted. The work around for this was to insert or connect the card/device prior to starting the machine. Obviously, this is not ideal so we hope your issue can be resolved using the latest build.

Hello Guys..

I had the same issue. 2 minutes with chat support solved the problem. They had me down load a zip file, install the two drivers and reboot. Good to go. Email or chat with support and I'm sure they'll get you taken care of.

Cheers

Rick
