Acronis folder opened at each Windows startup...

Thread needs solution

First of all: I'm sorry for my bad English: I'm Italian and I don't know this language very well...
I explain my problem: last week I installed Acronis true image 10 to try it before buying it. Since that moment, every time I turn on my computer and Windows starts, on the desktop the folder C:\Program files\Acronis is opened itself without any command, function, etc.
I tried all: editing the Windows registry, starting Windows with .log file, msconfig and many other softwares to understand what is the problem, but Windows is perfect.
After a lot of attempts I found the problem: it's the Trueimagemonitor.exe that opens this folder everytime Windows starts. The only solution is to delete it on the start list, but... my scheduled backup runs all the same or not? Or is there another solution to solve this folder that is opened on desktop?
Many thanks!

Hello Paolo,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Let me assist you.

TrueImageMonitor.exe - Acronis True Image Monitor that provides the interface between running Acronis True Image tasks and the user. It allows to observe the tasks progress and cancel the running tasks. It is started when a user logs into the system and terminates when the user logs off. This program is not required by Acronis True Image to perform its tasks, and can be terminated, but you will loose the ability to control running Acronis True Image tasks from the system tray.

As for the issue itself: it seems that there were something wrong with the installation, so to fix it I may recommend you to re-install the software from scratch.

And if the issue still persists after re-installation, please collect AcronisInfo and submit a support request via e-mail or use a Live Chat.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.

Thank you very much! I'll try to uninstall and reinstall the software, then I'll tell you if the error persists or not.
