Acronis Home 2010 Plus Universal Restore Win7-64bit number of cpus is wrong
I am using Acronis Home 2010 Plus Universal Restore - I backed up a Dell 670 (2 Xeon processors with hyper threading) Windows 7 64-bit system. The restored to a new Intel I7 quad processor with hyper threading mother board model EVGA X58SLI. The driver cd for the EVGA mother board was in a cd drive when I did the Acronis restore. The system restored clean - all of the drivers installed automatically and the device manager showed no errors. System runs fine! Only problem is the number of cpus in the task manager is wrong - it reports 4 and there should be 8. The device manager shows 8 as it should. Any idea how to get the task manager to recognize the 8 cpus?
Note: I tried clearing the box in msconfig boot options where the number of cpus is specified. All that got me was BSODs with endless re-boots.
