Then I created a dump from the Windows Task Manager.
TrueImageMonitor.DMP could not be attached to this posting because even after zipping it is larger than 15MB.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Acronis Image Home 2010 to no avail.
Acronis Image Home 2010 stops working when opening.
Please provide instructions to upload the .DMP file (compressed size 20MB)
Is there any help yAcronis Tech Support may provide.
Thank you in advance

I have exactly the same problem on the same model with windows 7 professional.
Maybe the raid causes the problem.

Hello all,

Thank you for your posts. I will do my best to assist you.

At the moment, it is not clear why the program is crashing. In order for us to resolve this issue we will need two sets of logs.

1. Dr. Watson Crash Dumps.

2. AcronisInfo report.

We will try to resolve this issue in the forum, but just in case, please keep in mind that this issue may require additional troubleshooting from our Support team. You can always submit a support request with the same logs and our support engineers will resolve this problem.

Alberto,

I will send you a private message with an ftp link, so that you can upload the crash dump file together with the AcronisInfo log to our ftp server.

Guido,

Can you please send me a private message with your Acronis True Image 2010 Home serial number, or, you can register it under your Acronis web-account. Please check this article for instructions. I will then create an ftp link and send you a private message with it.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Thank you both Anton and Guido for answering to my post.
Guido:
I did not buy the Raid configuration. I have only one 1TB drive
Anton:
Thank you in advance for your help.
Since I posted the problem, Acronis True Image 2010 Home Build 7046 has been removed from the machine and installation of applications have been performed.
From the original event (before I unistalled Acronis) I kept the "TrueImageMonitor.DMP" file. The zipped version of the file has been uploaded to the ftp you kindly provided.
Then, I believe it is pointless to attempt running the "AcronisInfo" report given that Acronis is no longer installed in the system. (unless you direct me otherwise)
Further information that might be usefull for your troubleshooting is that after I removed Acronis from the system I installed all available Windows 7 (64 bit) updates.
Then I reinstalled Acronis True Image 2010 Home Build 7046.
Same results as before. Program installs succesfully but it stops working at first run.
I did no ketp any dumps of this second unsuccesfull attempt of running the program.
Since then, Acronis True Image 2010 Home Build 7046 has been removed again from the computer.
Hoping to have a solution to this problem in the near future, I remain yours truly

Hello Alberto,

Thank you for the update. I have received the dump file and already sent you another private message.

At the moment, this issue requires additional investigation and needs to be escalated to our Expert team.

Please get back to me at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Hi Alberto and Anton

I have sent today the "AcronisInfo" report to the "Managers" mail account with ticket no.
Doing the dump with activ process (Task Manager) was not possible then I got a windows error (screenshot sent to mail).
And sorry I was not able to find "Dr Watson" under Win7Pro.

Thank you for your help.

Guido Kuehne

Hello Guido,

Thank you for your post. I will definitely help you with this issue.

I have received the case that you submitted and I have already sent you a reply. I would really appreciate if we can continue communicating through the case so that we can keep track of this issue in one place.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Yesterday evening Acronis True Image 2010 was working first time. I did not do anything.
Maybe the recent Windows Update did fix the problem? Alberto can you please test it also on your machine after updating.

Thank you.

Guido:
Latest developments:
I started Acronis True Image to produce the Userdump tech support requested.
Unbelievably, when I started AcronisTrue Image it worked and succeded in creating an Image of the system drive[C].
I stopped and restarted the aplication several times and it worked fine all the times except for one time that it crashed on startup
Then I attempted to create a data back up of all users by going to File BU>My data>Computer>OS[C] and clicking on Users to select the data belonging to all windows Users.
Then I click on Next and Acronis True Image crashed.
Repeated the above attempt several times and Acronis True Image consistently crashes when I click on Next
Attempts to produce Dr Watson dumps or User dumps all fail with Windows message "The operation could not be completed. Access is denied"
In summary the situation is worse than before because before the application behaved consistently (it did not work at all) now the problem is not the same (now the application partially works).
I do not know how is going to behave tomorow and that is far from "Compute with Confidence"

Hello Alberto,

I'm really sorry, but we are unable to continue the investigation of the issue without Dr.Watson crash dumps, they're crucial to resolve this case. Could you please try to collect them once again?

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Ilya:

I've been trying to get Anton to answer me since a week ago precisely on this very subject.
Perhaps he is too busy and he could not answer my request of help to access the FTP he provided for me to upload the Dr Watson dump.
I finally succeded in generating and saving a dump but I can not upload it to the FTP because windows complains that it can not display the FTP in windows explorer and closes the FTP session.
So, please providse instructions to upload to the FTP and I'll send you the Dr Watson dump immediatly.
Best regards

Dear Folks,

I have the same problem.

I have a Dell C521 with a RAID (2 x 1Tb) and just installed the latest version of the Acronis software, but still "stops unexpectedly".

I am happy to send any info you need ASAP, as I use logmein from work.

Regards

ANDREW

Hello,

Alberto, I recommend you to use any 3rd-party free FTP client, such as FileZilla. It is very simple to use. Please just download it, install and copy/paste the FTP link Anton provided you with.

Andrew, we need crash dumps and AcronisInfo from the machine where you have True Image installed, you can find the instruction on how to gather the required information at this comment. Having all that data at hand, please submit a support request and we'll surely help you.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.

I have the same problem. First I couldn't activate the Recovery Manager and I was told to contact support but how? I uninstalled and reinstalled ATI 2010 Home and everytime I try to create a task for backing up it terminates itself. At one point Acronis even terminated itself when I started the program.

Help!!!!!!

Thank you

My turn

I've just purchased and downloaded Acronis True Image, and as above I'm also getting errors when I try to run it. I've followed the direction to do a Dr Watson Dump, but when I try it tells me Dump File Operation could not be completed, access is denied, despite the fact I'm the administrator.

Kinda sucks, I heard a lot of good reviews about this product and I was hoping it would live up to it's reputation. Now I'm out $$s and still don't have a backup.

Can you help?

I've been using ATI 2010 successfully for four years on my Dell 9300 running Windows 7. Had it successfully create an image every Sunday night with no issues. The other day, I attempted to open ATI and got error message indicating program would not run. Tried to open a few more times, same problem. I then uninstalled ATI and then re-installed. Now, ATI opens most of the time without the error message ((but not all the time), but when I try to do a backup or even schedule a backup, I get the error message, "Acronis True Image has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is found." and program shuts down. I cannot get any back-up out of it. FYI, I had a large security/other automatic update from Microsoft a day before I discovered this problem, but I have no idea if they are related. I'd replace ATI with ATI 2015, but no assurances it will work either. Help
