Acronis loader error on AHCI mode

Thread needs solution

Hello guys, been trying to figure out all sorts of solution but still cant fix the fatal error on the acronis true image 2011 Boot-cd..

Acronis Loader fatal error. Boot drive (partition) not found.
Press {enter} to try to boot your OS.

I already update to the latest version of acronis, scanning for BCD error but it mention my O/S successful load and even i bought new DVD drive as well.. (But still no hope on getting it done on AHCI mode)

But everything work well in IDE mode, as i know this problem is not just me, so i wonder what the next step i should do in-order to fix this error issue? Anyone can advise me from here?

iicecube,

This is probably a linux-driver issue with your motherboard... If you can use the recovery CD in IDE mode, that is not so bad. Make sure you can actually restore a couple of files in that mode.
Hopefully, you won't have to ever use the recovery CD, but you have to make sure it works: hence the test above.
After the test, return the BIOS to the proper disk interface setting, then reboot the computer on its system disk.

Ohh okie so using acronis also need to depend on the motherboard issue?
But is there any solution i can get from the technical team that can resolve this issue?

In theory, the recovery CD should work on any computer, but it is using Linux drivers and doesn't have the same hardware support as Windows...
You can contact Acronis support to confirm the hardware support issue, but you will have to pay a fee if you are out of support...
