Acronis Media Builder

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Buid : 6613

Since i have installed buid 6613, I decided to recreate a new boot CD using Acronis Universal Restore
I select my diffrent options and at the latest step, just before burning the DVD, I have this error :
0x0018000B+0x0018000B

Following Acronis KB :

Cause

Issue in the product.
Solution

The issue has been fixed in Acronis True Image 2016.
Products:

Acronis True Image 2015

So I need to upgrade (purchase) release 2016 for solving my problem ?

HI

I have similar problem. Windows 8.1 fully updated. I am irked at this. I have been a long time user of Acronis Products, and have some issues with the new UI's etc but have stayed with the product. I would like to see a patch for this as having to purchase a new product to fix a problem with a purchased product does not seem to be a reasonable solution.

Please note that I can create a rescue disk.

Hi,

fully agree with you. Don't want to purchase a new product to fix a problem in a purchased product.
I sent a mail to Acronis support about it.

Note that I can't create a new rescue disk !

So it seems with ATI 2015 it is not possible at this moment to create a boot disk (DVD) including ATI 2015 and Acronis Universal Restore.
This problem is solved with ATI 2016.

But it is possible to create 2 CD's : one with ATI2015 and the second with Acronis Universal Restore.

Question : if I need to restore my full backup on a different hardware, how to proceed ?

- boot with Acronis Universal Restore first and load the necessary drivers needed by new hardware ?
- then how to run ATI 2015 for restoring the backup ?

Br

You first boot TI 2015 and restore the backup. Do not attempt to boot into Windows. Then you boot UR and apply the needed drivers.
