Is Acronis right for me?
Setup:
I've been tasked with implementing a simple backup system for a 5 computer office setting. Have the NAS ready to go with 4tb and was thinking about Acronis True Image 2012 for performing the backups.
I don't really need anything fancy - I need a system disk backup performed with incremental backups with the ability to restore off of the NAS if anything goes wrong. Hardware is older, each hard drive is only 75gigs at the moment so the 4tb is more than enough for them right now. I have to replace some of their hard drives as they are throwing SMART errors (end of life errors etc) so will need the 4tb down the road somewhere as some of the computers are used for storing home photos etc. I know I know, they shouldn't be. But they are.
There isn't anything "mission" critical on the computers as all work is performed through a remote connection. Thus, only a simple backup to a NAS is required.
So - True Image will do everything that I want? I don't think I need the business version, but am unsure what additional benefits the business version has.
