Acronis stops restoring my data

Thread needs solution

I made a full filedata-backup unsing Acronis True Image Home 2009. Later I have started the restore function of this backup file (tib) to a new HDD. It tells me the process lenghts, i.e. 22 hours (there is quite a lot of data). After starting the restore a while later a message comes up and asks for user preferences:

"Restoring of 'file XYZ.abc' failed.
Repeat - Ignore - Stop"

but the hole process is also halted until I make the selection (ignore, since repeat usually does not help). This causes the problem that I have to sit in front of the PC more or less in order each time to confirm the action. Otherwise the restore time increases to an manifold of the effective 22 hours.

i have already tried to run the restore with a Acronis bootable CD as suggested by Support, but same results.

I want that the restore is not halted (so the unable files are just ignored). Then at the end I can locate these unable files and treat them individually.

Any ideas to solve?

Thanks is appreciated.

Are you using the latest build of TI 2009 (9,809)?

What size is the backup file?

Does the backup Validate successfully?

You could try using TI 2010 to restore. It may not have the same errors.

Have you tried exploring the backup and copying out the files/folders?

If you're restoring to the original locations, you could try restoring to an alternate location.

Do you know if TI is having a problem reading from the backup file or if it's a problem writing the restored file to the drive?
