Acronis Synchronization
I've accidentally added a sync job and I cant find a way to remove / delete it. I've found a way to pause it but I can't find a way to actually remove it like I can with the backup jobs where I can right click and get a delete option that removes it. Anyone use sync and know of a way to delete a sync job?
I'm not even sure if this is the correct forum for this question. I couldn't find a forum for sync so I put it here since it is an actual tab in the true image home product. Anyway - Help!!

David,
If you have stopped the sync, you should be able to right click and select 'remove' as per the image below. This will only remove the sync action, not the sync folder.

I've stopped the sync. This is what I get when I right click the gear icon. There is no remove option like you show. What am I doing wrong? (See attached file).

David,
Since you cannot remove the default SyncMe thing, you can still disable the Acronis Synch Service. That won't remove your sync, but no synching will continue.

David,
Instead of clicking on the cog icon, just click near the sync name.

Sorry Charlie. I clicked near the name and several other places withing the job rectangle. The attached picture is all I get no matter where I click. I do have the service stopped. I just thought it would be nice to get rid of the job since I don't want it, don't use it and this is software that I paid a price for and would expect to work properly. I'm not shouting. Just frustrated. Any further ideas on how to get rid of this would be greatly appreciated. If there's not a manner of making it go away don't you thing we should submit this as a software bug to be fixed in a path release?

David,
When you say you have the service stopped, do you mean you've paused the sync or you've actually disabled the service in Windows Services?
If the latter, I think you need to have it enabled in order to delete or add sync's. Don't have time just now to check that, but will later on today.

Colin - I apologize for not being clear. I mean I have this sync job paused. The service itself is still running in contol panel/services. Sorry. Hope this helps.

David,
I've just realised why you and I are seeing different things, but Pat spotted it! Your sync is going via Acronis online storage, so this default folder can't be deleted, but you can delete the sharing PC's by clicking on the hyperlink to the right of the sync'd PC information.
To be more specific you need to remove the sync under your account, which you can get to by selecting 'change' from the path link above the PC names.

Hi, I am having a similar issue. (see attachment) The TRIAL SYNC on my P: drive I want to delete but I can't. I stop the service (Acronis and Windows) and I keep getting a message stating it's in use. I have not tried to delete it in safe mode yet, nor have I uninstalled the software. Perhaps, I should try safe mode first? there should be a delete option but I don't have it either..
Any ideas?

Homeuser,
The only way to delete that sync is to go into your Acronis account, click on 'Settings' under the TIH 2012 entry and remove the PC from the list, and then start again. You should also log out of Sync from within 2012 as well.

Thanks Colin...I started up in Safe Mode and Deleted the one on my P: drive...I will now do what you suggest on the Cloud...thanks again!

I have three copies of Acronis running on three machines networked and all saving on a Network Drive too. One copy is 2014 and the other two are 2013. I am trying to delete some old syncs that I used to have on two other machines - now no longer used - but I am spending hours trying to sort out this over-complicated software. It's a pity because it is essentially what I want - to synchronize three machines - but is way too complicated. It won't do the things I ask - like Remove or Unsync - and there is NO proper support. All I have is this Forum which references old product with associated references to old manuals and irrelevant page numbers and uses terms which no longer apply. I am not interested in learning the entire history of the product in order to use it.
In desperation I am going to delete all copies of Acronis and re-install them and start again, but really guys, this is your last chance. I have paid good money for this software and expect better support than this. Life is too short!
