Acronis TI 2010\7046 crashing with RUNTIME error

Thread needs solution

The following error happens in both WINDOWS XP (prof) and WINDOWs 7 prof. and as  both single or dual boot system

PC presently is set up as a DUAL BOOT with XP first. This report from Windows 7

This is NOT a new problem. This has been happenining for the past few versions of TI (check forums for runtime errors to confirm) The errors happen when the desktop is set as single boot as well.

Error message received

RUNTIME ERROR Program C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImage Home\TrueImage.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Contact application support team

The program then closes down when the error message is clicked and I HAVE TO REBOOT to get Acrinis to restart.

After re-boot I then have to go back into the program and select UPDATE (the failed file) which it hen does. After it has run the image I receive the following error message:

Acronis True Image has stopped working. Check on-line for a solution of close program.

After (re)opening TI I then select UPDATE of the failed image. This runs and after completion (????) the following happens:

I get a Program stopped working message which I close down using the red cross at top. I then get a program succeeded message.

I then close this down using red-cross and the following happens and select to validate the (completed???) image the following happens. Select Validate task and then select image which runs and then the following appears If I now click onto the red the cross (at top right of this message) I receive a message saying that the job completed correctly.

Here are the details cut and pasted from saved document:

Program USed was "WHO CRASHED" (Gives more details than windows error reports)

Acronis True Image Service has stopped working.

Experiencing runtime error messages when attempting to perform disk recovery or disk clone.

@Acronis: any further developments on this issue/problem?
