Acronis TI 2014 NVME Support

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis True Image 2014 and I want to clone a NVME drive. It does not load when the system reboots into the acronis boot utility. Is there a way to load drivers with 2014? If not, does the newer version of True Image work with NVME drives?

Alexander, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but you would need to create the Acronis Rescue Media using the Windows PE option to be able to add drivers for NVMe drives, especially for M.2 drives.

ATI 2014 creates Linux based rescue media by default, and boots into a temporary Linux environment if a clone is started from within Windows, both of which do not have support for NVMe.  There are no options to allow new drivers to be added to Linux media used by ATI.

Personally, I would recommend upgrading to the latest version of ATI (2020) where full support is available for NVMe M.2 drives and Acronis has switched to using Windows PE / RE for the recovery media as the default.
