Acronis TI fails to find phantom file

Since Acronis 2013 and again after upgrading to 2014, TI constantly looks for a file related to a backup that is no longer used, no longer exists and has not been used for several years. I get a daily error message saying that XXXXX60 cannot be found or opened. Is there any way to get rid of this phantom file search?

In the c:\programdata\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database, delete the archives.xml file, then restart ATI.
