Acronis Ti2014 Premium - Should we go for it?
I see there's a special offer for the Premium version.
Is the added benefit to be able to restore to other machines something that's worth going for?
If the existing mother board fails, the contents of the existing internal hard drives can be transferred to a new machine. If an internal drive fails, cannot the contents of the BU drives be similarly transferred/copied?
Does the upgrade change any existing settings and practices?
Forgive my ignorance!

Noel,
The backups you make are for recovery to your existing hardware or to a smaller or lager replacment harddrive. If the motherboard is replaced, then you would need the premium version universal restore. Do take the time to create a new Bootable CD in order to have the Universal Restore included within the bootable CD.
If you were to buy the premium version, you would be supplied with a new serial for the premium version and that serial number could be input into your existing i nstallation of 2014 with no changes to your settings.
There is no difference between the 2014 premium or non-premium installations except the premium serials enables features not enabled on the standard version.

Many thanks GroverH.
Am I correct in saying that non-program files, ie data and picture files can be recovered to a new PC without the Premium version, ie not transferring Windows or any Application programs, but installing them from fresh?
