Acronis True Image 10
Dear Sirs,
Good Evening
We have got a machine with Fleax OS and 45MB SCSI Harddisk, when we used to switch off and on, often harddisk was not getting recognised by BIOS, we used to take out the harddisk, clean a bit and again it used to be alright, machine used to work perfectly alright
To get rid of this frequent problem, we had decided to take image using Acronis True Image 10
We have used a desktop with Windows Xp and SATA harddisk having two partitions C and D, CD drive being drive E, connected SCSI harddisk to motherboard of this desptop PC using SCSI interface then this SCSI harddisk got recognised as partition F, partition F was showing all the folders under SCSI harddisk.
Using Acronis True Image 10, we had suscressfully taken image of SCSI harddisk and finally operation successfully completed appeared
After this when we connected back SCSI harddisk to the same machine, Hardd disk is getting recognised, Loading from harddrive, Loading Flex OS appears then it stops with SHELL : Boot Read Error 80204012
Kindly confirm if this error occured because we have taken image of SCSI, is it is that location of sectors and related information got changed due to cloning ???
Kindly advice

If you have removed the original disk from computer, put the disk back in.
If the system has been turned off and on manuall via the switch, there is a good chance it has disk errors.
From within Windows or from a Dos prompt, you need to run fix these errors. If you hve more than one partitons, all partitions need to be checked.
From the Dos prompt.
CHKDSK X: /R (CHANGE THE X TO THE DRIVE LETTER BEING CHECKED, SUCH AS C or D, etc)
You may have to perform the the CHKDSK C: /R
MORE THAN ONCE if errors are found on the the first check.
--------------------------------------------------
After the errors fixed, create a new backup for use with a new disk.

Sir Thanks for ur reply
a) Can we connect that scsi harddisk in a seperate Desktop PC(as mentioned in my Post) and then run checkdisk as we can not connect that harddisk in the machine as floppy drive of the machine is not working and hence we can not get DOS prompt to run checkdisk
b) Sir u really feel this error SHELL : Boot Read Error is because i have taken image using Acronis or it is because of inherent bad sectors of scsi harddisk because before taking image, somehow this hard disk was working and we never had this error SHELL : Boot Read Error
c) Sir is it wrong to use Acronis to take image for Harddisk which runs on DOS operating system like FlexOS
Request to reply to all the three points ????

Maddala Rishikesh,
I am unable to help you. I am not familiar with your software or your hardware and I am not a technician. My response was as another user and to help you to use the program. I do not know whether the program can do what you want done.
To get answers to your questions, you will probably need to contact Acronis support.
If your issue is a recovery issue, they will help you.
Or, you can contact via their paid support.
I wish I could help you more but cannot.
