Acronis True Image 10 Home (German Versionand nothing else) not running with Windows 7 (32bit)

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have the above stated product in German version (latest build, sthg. like 4249 or so...).
Now that I upgraded to Windows 7 (32 bit), Windows doesn´t allow me to start True Image because of copatibility issues.
I am also confused because of the wording: is my version (see title) equivalent to the 2009 English version or do I have the latest 2010 verson (which should run under Win7)?

I think I read that my product should work, but after all it doesn´t.
I am a big Acronis fan, but now I need your help.
Maybe I did not find the correct update version of True Image. Why didn´t you install an "update" button in the software itself?

HELP!
Thanks!

Detlef.

Hello Detlef,

I understand your question and will do my best to give you a clear explanation and resolution of the issue.

Neither Acronis True Image 10.0 Home nor Acronis True Image Home 2009 supports Windows 7. Acronis True Image Home 2010 supports Windows 7. The full list of supported operating system is the following:

  • Windows XP SP3
  • Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
  • Windows Vista SP2 (all editions)
  • Windows 7 (all editions)

Check the following article for Microsoft Windows 7 32/64 Bit Support in Acronis Products

You can upgrade Acronis True Image 10.0 Home to Acronis True Image Home 2010 for $29.99 using our online store

I may also recommend you to download free trial version of  Acronis True Image 10.0 Home and check if it runs flawlessly on your system.

When you launch the installation file of Acronis True Image Home 2010 you can check for the latest builds of the program and if any available download them. I agree that the ability to have an update option within the program would be very useful so I have created a request to add this option to the future versions of the program.

Let me know if you have any further questions and I will answer them as soon as possible.

Thank You.

I also have the same problem. Is there a patch available sometime to make it run on Windows 7?
If buying an upgrade, what version is the installer looking for?

Yes, search the forum ... someone posted a way to get it to work with Win 7.
