Acronis True Image 11 Home (8053) Reboots at 99% Restore

Thread needs solution

I have True Image 11 Home build 8053, when restoring my image to a Dell Latitude D830 utilizing the Rescue CD, the computer reboots at about 99% (sometimes less) restore. My image is on an external hard drive connected via a USB cable and I have tried different cables with the same result. The bios is up to date and has the hard drive set to ATA instead of AHCI.

Does the computer boot successfully into Windows after the 99% reboot?

You could try updating to the latest build of TI 11 (8,101). There may also be an updated ISO in your Acronis account.

It will boot but at the ctrl-alt-del screen it gets a bsod with stop 8E as soon as I do ctrl-alt-del. I have tried this on (3) D830's and (1) D630. Same result on all 4 laptops.

Hello Edouard and MudCrab,

Thank you for your posts and your kind assistance MudCrab.

I will definitely help you with this issue Edouard. Any chance you have tried MudCrab's suggestion and downloaded the latest (8101) version of Acronis True Image 11 Home bootable media?

As a workaround, I will send you a private message with the trial version of Acronis True Image 2011 Home bootable media which you can use to recover your backups. It can restore images created with version 11 and as a trial, it is limited to recovery operations only.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hello, yes, I tried the 8101 bootable with the same results.

I will try the version you send me.

Thanks!

Ed

Hello Edouard,

Thank you very much for the follow-up.

It is possible the issue could be related to the backup or the backup location. To localize the issue, do you mind using another image and/or placing it to a different backup location.

I would appreciate if you could get back to me about this.

Thank you.
