Acronis True Image 11 Home and Windows 7

Thread needs solution

I'm building a new computer running Win 7. I have a copy of Acronis True Image 11 Home edition that I bought some years ago for an XP machine but was never installed. Can anyone tell me if True Image 11 will work on the Win 7 machine? I plan to eventually upgrade to Win 10 at which time I'll need to get a new copy. Thanks for any help.

True Image 11 is too old to run on Win 7 https://kb.acronis.com/content/1534. Probably best to upgrade to TI 2016 which is compatible with Win 7 and Win 10.

My boxed version of Acronis True Image 11 Home was purchased from Tiger Direct some years ago. It says only that it's compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP and Vista. Guess that was before Windows 7 came about.

Melvin,
Version 11 does not qualify for an upgrade. Also, does not work with Win 7.
You will need to purchase the full version.

PS: version 11 and version 2011 are not the same. Version 11 is prior to verson 2011 and much older

Thanks for all the comments - you've confirmed what I already suspected.

By the way, I noticed that Windows 7 has a backup utility that it seems might be used to backup a drive partition and/or create a system image. Could I use this instead of Acronis to backup my system? Guess I need to learn a little more about it.
