Acronis True Image 11 on Windows 7?

Thread needs solution

Will True Image 11 work on windows 7?

Can i make a disc image on my external drive from my old XP system and then attach to my new Windows 7 computer and restore selected items?

Thanks,

True Image v11 is not supported in Windows 7, but you could try and use your bootable Rescue Media to boot your Windows 7 system and see if you can see both the external drive and your internal drives, if so, you could restore files/folders from the external drive to your Windows 7 system while booted to the Rescue Media.
If you Rescue Media does not support your Windows 7 hardware, you could sign up for the 2013 trial, register the trial serial number online with Acronis, and then download a 2013 trial ISO of the Rescue Media that could be burned to a CD/DVD and used for recovery or restore from your backup files stored on the external drive. The 2013 trial would not have to be installed on the Windows 7 system, but could be if needed/wanted, and it is able to restore previous versions of Acronis backup files, but you would only have 30 days to use it. The 2013 trial Rescue Media will continue to be able to be used for restore/recovery after thirty days./p>
