Acronis True Image 2009 - E000101F4 - Can't Find Any Hard Disk Drives

Thread needs solution

I have been unable to successfully restore a new computer that was just purchased using Acronis True Image 2009. If I try to boot from the CD, I get E00101F4 (can't find any hard disk drives). If I run it from Windows, I get an error when it reboots. The computer is a Jetway NF9J-Q87 motherboard with Intel i7 4770S 3.1 GHz processor and 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 SODIMM. Any insight as to why I can't load this system is appreciated.

Always happens when, for example, do an XP 'repair install'.
Then always need to reinstall Acronis 10.

Greetings,
ATIH 2009 is very old. The drivers included with that version, even the latest build probably doesn't support the Q87 based storage controller or other if equipped. Upgrading to a later version of Acronis should help. Keep in mind that the software you are using needs to support both the OS and hardware you are running it on.
