Acronis True Image 2010 build 7046 crashing on launch

Thread needs solution

Hello.. I'm having an issue with this software. I just installed it and rebooted. As soon as I open the True Image software the application crashes.

"Acronis True Image has stopped working..."

I have read the forums and I have verified that there aren't any ipods or other removable drives connected.. not sure what's causing the problem.

Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Have you had a previous version of TI installed at all?

If you click on the bottom of the application crashed box, there will be some details as to what might have caused the crash.

you could also whilst the crash message is on the screen right click and select to save the contents toa dump file.

What I suggest is to uninstall TI 2010, run the 2010 registry cleaner utility, reboot and then try a new installation.

If you installed as single user last time, try installing for all users.

I can't give you the link for the cleaner at this moment as I'm at work. I have posted it in a thread that I answered in the last two days.
