Acronis True Image 2013 upgrade to Acronis True Image 2016
This may not be the forum for this but I am at a loss. I have, or rather had a laptop with Acronis 2013 plus the plus pack installed. The laptop is now FUBAR. I wish to install the product on my new laptop but it does not register and this I understand. Is there a way I can use Acronis 2013 on my replacement machine because I wish to buy 2016 as an upgrade. I just feel that as I have a legal copy of the software I should be able to use it albeit not on the original machine. Thank you.

Thank you for your response, it gives me hope. I have the files, I have the keys. I have done the install but it fails to activate even though it accepts the keys. I'll try again, maybe I was just too impatient.
So here's the thing. I have a 2012 + plus pack and a 2013 + plus pack. When I install the 2013 legal version on my new machine, even with the keys, the install is seen by my Acronis account as a new install, not a reinstall and it is installed as a trial version. I only have a single user license. Hence I can no longer use my purchased version...not even to upgrade to 2016. Just to repeat, the old machine with the original install no longer exists.

Have you created an account at www.acronis .com and registered TI 2013 and the Pluspack? If not you should do that. You will then beable to download a fresh copy of TI 2013 and the Pluspack.
I would remove the trial version using the cleanup utility https://kb.acronis.com/content/34876.

Thank you.
Yes I have an Acronis account. I have also registered the software. I did not download a trial version, I downloaded the licenced version from the download page under my account. When I install the software, it accepts the keys (obtained from my account when I registered) but it installs as a trial version.

I have managed to resolve the problem. I installed the oldest product on my new laptop and when I attempted to register it, I was informed 'too many activations'. I was then asked if I wished to move the licence....this is the first time this notification has appeared. I said 'yes' and it all went well from that point on. The Software licence has been removed from old laptop and is now active on my new laptop. I guess that I should have read the help file or followed the link that you placed in an earlier posting (Quote - See this link for activation help https://kb.acronis.com/content/34122 - End Quote.) It would have saved me a lot of time (stupid me) So now all is well and I have since upgraded to TI 2016. Thank you for your assistance.
