Acronis True Image 2014 - Mouse/Keyboard only beep after booting from recovery USB

Have a new HP Envy x360 laptop. Seems to boot fine, but when I click on anything with the touchpad or press a key, it only beeps and nothing happens. Nothing is selected by the mouse, and you cannot navigate with the arrow keys. Also tried plugging in a USB mouse and USB keyboard just in case there was something going on with the integrated hardware of the laptop....same thing, I can't do anything...any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

same issue I had a few months ago. As I remember, I removed bootable Acronis USB stick from HP laptop after the software has been loaded & it has been run without beeps.
