Acronis True Image 2014 Not Keeping All Backups
Hi folks,
I have been using Acronis True Image 2014 for a few months not and for the most part it works quite well.
The problem I have is that Acronis does not keep the number of backups specified in the settings. I have it set to store no more than 5 different versions, but it only keeps 3.
I have another backup set for a USB drive and that is also supposed to 4 versions but it only keeps 2.
Anyone know what might be going on?
Cheers

See attached.
You can also notice that the H drive backup says "not backed up yet" even though it has been running for weeks.

Thank you Rimas for the attachments. No clues in what you provided.
Which version of Windows?
Which build of 2014?
Has the task been edited or had changes made from original settings?
Has C or H been restored to prior backups?
Would you consider posting a screen capture of the storage folders where the C and H backups are stored?
Perhaps something will show there.

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it... :)
Running Win 7 Pro S1, all updates installed.
Build 5560 of 2014
Nope, I created these tasks from scratch after I saw that it was not keeping all the backups.
I had restored from my old HD to a new SSD which worked perfectly (but I created the new backups after I had the SSD running.
Yes, will get screen captures soon... In the process of moving house, so will try to do it in the next day or 2.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding but was the backup task itself created new on the SD?
If using an earlier created task from the old spin disk, stop using that task and create a new task. Do not use the clone task option as the source disk now differs from the original spin disk task.

No, it's created on an external RAID 1 array. Even once I cloned the spin disk to the SSD I re created all my backup tasks just to be safe. So I'm really confused as to why Acronis is having trouble counting to 5... :)

As these were new tasks, I am out of ideas as to what or why. Perhaps the log files has some clues.
If within the 30 days Window of free support via Acrnis, this would be a possible avenue to pursue. Or, if you choose paid support and they find it to be a bug, they will refund you support payment. Sorry I could not be of more help. One option to consider might be to reinstall the software overtop the existing installation. This repair procedure may or may not help but sometimes it does. Good luck.

I did get the free upgrade from 2013 to 2014, so I will try uninstalling, cleaning up the registry, re boot then re install 2014. If that doesn't help, I guess I'll have to pay for support... Kind of annoying, but like you said, if they refund the money based on a bug, that'll be fine with me (as long as they fix the bug soon).
I'll also check the log files.
