Acronis True Image 2015 Build 6613 Backup to a second hard disk
Hi,
To create second backup copies I can store at another location, I'm trying to backup to a second WD Mybook USB external hard disk having used another one initially to create my backups on.
When I try to run an existing backup in Acronis I get a message " Cannot find Version 1". Presumably as I'm using a different hard disk.
Creating a new backup on the second hard disk for example for Outlook seems to work but when the Validate command is used it says again " Cannot find Version 1" and subsequently " the specified file does not exist"
Is there a way with Acronis to backup to two different hard disks please?
Thanks for any advice
Nigel

Hi Grover
Thanks for taking time to reply.
I read the article on the forum as you suggested.
Now I've had a hunt around the options in Acronis 2015 and I cannot see any options to create a different backup task. I've looked in Options including Advanced on Backups , Backups plus the other options available and cannot see an obvious place where I can create backup tasks.
I may be Acronis 'challenged' and so could you point me in the correct direction to do this?
Thanks
Nigel

I just copy my backups using Windows file explorer to a different target disk instead of creating a new backup task. I look at it this way, if I need my offsite backup, it means my pc has expired for what ever reason. If I'm using the offsite backup for restoring my system to a similar hardware environment, and I will be using the Acronis Rescue media (of which I also keep offsite). It doesn't care what backup schemes have been defined. If you have the backup and its plugged in, you only need to tell it to go look at that disk and it will find the .TIB files and complete the proper restore.
No need to do duplicate backups.

All,
Thanks for replies. Was focussed on getting a resolution through Acronis and I'd simply overlooked a file copy solution.
Thanks all.
