Acronis True Image ASZ Updater has stopped working

I am trying to update to the latest build, but I receive the error "Acronis True Image ASZ Updater has stopped working" when I try, regardless of whether I manually download the file from the web or if I follow the automatic prompts from within TrueImage.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?
