Hello Rene,

No worries, I will help you to resolve the situation so you can create a backups.

I have consulted with our Experts and we have found the following:

Nov 10 10:11:14 xxxxx kernel: kernel BUG at /var/lib/dkms/snapapi26/0.7.47/build/snapapi26.c:1822! Nov 10 10:11:14 xxxxx kernel: invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] SMP

This means that your Linux kernel is not able to communicate with our snapapi component.

In this case, I'd recommend you to do the following:

1. First of all, please make sure you use the latest build of the software (8398).

You can download all necessary files from Registered products and downloads section in your account.

If you have not registered your product on our web site yet, we recommend to do it in order to receive free updates.

- Choose Product registration
- Enter the serial number for your Acronis product in the corresponding field.

2. If the issue persists collect kernel messages:

# echo 8 4 1 8 > /proc/sys/kernel/printk
- reproduce the issue;
- capture the screen (there should be extended logs there).

3. Boot into OS and collect Linux system report as follows:

Please download the Linux System Report utility.

- Unpack the archive: # tar xvf sysinfo.tar
- Make the script executable: # chmod +x sysinfo
- Run the executable: # ./sysinfo

Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the issue appears and the link to this thread. After that, please post the case number here, so I can pick it up from our database and speed up the process. We will do our best to investigate the problem and provide you with a solution.

Also, please feel free to ask me if my instructions are not clear for you - I will provide you with an answer as clear as I can.

Thank you.
