Yes Frank, ATI 2009 works fine on Win7 Pro 64bit or 32bit. There is no need to upgrade to 2010.

Given the large number of negative comments on the Acronis Forums about TI Home 2010, I am surprised there have not been more folks commenting on your thread about the latest build of Acronis TI Home 2009. In any case, good to hear it's working for you in Win 7.
I am a registered owner of Acronis TI Home 2009. However, I have not installed the actual program on my pc since I did a clean install of X64 Win 7 this past October. However, I have continued to use the boot disc and I make monthly images of my entire system. My needs have been more basic so having the entire program installed has not been critical in Win 7 for me.
In any event, I hope other users chime in (hopefully to support the same experience you are having with TI 2009 and Win 7). The fact that you have been able to install the actual program (latest build of TI Home 2009) in Win 7 Prof without any known problems thus far is encouraging.

If its true that TI Home 2009 works with windows 7, what Acronis should do is make it available for 2010 users for download as a stop gap until 2010 is fixed.

I am sure everyone would agree with you in saying that Acronis should make TI Home 2009 available for all 2010 users until that version is fixed.

Well, If you want 2009 try this link: http://www.cheapantivirus.com/Acronis-s/20.htm
Acronis TI Home 2009 for $31. Buy it, upgrade it free to the latest 2009 build (9809) and there you are.
I didn't buy my TI there but I did buy Norton Internet Security there and it was a legal, working OEM software CD.
Do your own research before deciding.
I have owned TI 8, 10, and 2009. The last has been the best one for me. I expect that 2010 will eventually also be a good product with minimum bugs.

Considering the persistent problems with Acronis TI Home 2010 not playing nicely with Windows 7 (let alone another OS), it would seem beneficial if Acronis would go ahead and start officially supporting Acronis TI Home 2009 in all versions of Windows 7.....if nothing else from a public relations standpoint.
Sadly, I guess it gets back to dollars and cents. Software companies want you to buy their latest version and usually do not look beyond that aspect of things.
Meanwhile, it seems (from other posters) that the experiences in Acronis TI Home 2010 are nothing short of miserable.
So, if the latest build of TI Home 2009 *really* does fully work in Win 7, then that is great news.
