Acronis True Image Home 2009 will not mount verified images made after 1.5 GB drives

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis True Image Home 2009 build 9809 on Windows Xp Pro SP3.
I upgraded from 500 MB RAID to to a 1.5 GB RAID and make Acronis full computer backups on 1.5 Gb SATA drives. These are all single partition drives.

All Acronis backups verify, and I can browse the Acronis backups -
but I am unable to mount any of the backups made since the computer upgrade.

The error message is "Cannot assign a drive letter to a partion from the backup archive.

Most interesting, Acronis backups made before the upgrade still mount as as usual.

From the knowledge base the drives up to 2 GB should be OK.

I have already uninstalled Acronis and reinstalled it without any change - still can't mount the verfied images.

Any Suggestions?

Hello G Rule,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

We do not develop Acronis True Image Home 2009 any more. That's why we are unable to update the module that is responsible for this operation. I may recommend you to install a trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2010 available here in order to make sure that the program runs flawlessly for you.

Please see this article on how to install the trial version.

If the issue persists, we will give the issue a closer investigation.

Please let us know the results.

Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.
