Acronis True Image Home 2010

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis TI Home 11 and interested in upgrading to 2010.
I use the Backup Location for current backups; It appears the 2010
version does not have Backup Locations, is that true?
In 2010 are you forced to use zones (un partitioned disk space) for all backups?

Thanks
Terry

Hello Terry,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

It is not necessary to place backup archive to Acronis Secure Zone in Acronis True Image Home 2010. You can use any supported storage media for that purpose. You are correct there is no Backup Location in the current version. You can schedule tasks and set quotas (like in previous versions, such as backup rules and backup policies) without backup location.

I would recommend you download free trial version and test it first.

Terry,
It is also very easy to use a simple batch file to control how many backups you want to retain. Advise how many backups and what backups (full, inc, dif) you wish to retain and we can offer some batch file examples. Any of the TI backup archives can be stored inside a normal folder. The *.tib backup archives are just another file.
