Acronis True Image Home 2010 crashes with blue screen Stop 7E

Thread needs solution

Am using Acronis True Image Home 2010 (with the plus pack) - build 6.053.

I had been able to perform a number of backups of my C drive to an external drive (via USB) previously with no issues.
Now, however, every time I try to do a backup, whenever I click on the proceed button, Windows XP Home SP3 blue screens with the following code

Stop 7E
0xC0000005, 0x804F04FE, 0xBA513A68, 0xBA513764

The blue screen problem occurs EVERY time I try to run a backup from Windows.
If I use the CD at boot time to start the backup, there is no problem. It only occurs when run from Windows

Is this a known issue? Is there anything I can do to stop this from occurring.

Hello MRC_112,

Thank you for posting and welcome to our forum. I will definitely help you.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience. First of all, we will need to make sure that you are using the latest build of our software which is more stable - 7046. Please uninstall the current build and download the latest one from your Acronis web-account.

If the issue re-occurs, please create a Windows mini-dump and collect AcronisInfo report and kindly upload them to our ftp server, I will send you unique link in a few minutes via a private message. I will analyze the dumps and provide you with a solution.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
