Acronis TrueImage 2014 won't complete full backup

Thread needs solution

I have TIH 2014 installed on my Win7 ultimate PC.

I had setup and done weekly incremental backups to my NAS without problems for several months.

I got backup error saying incremental backup failed validation/verification step.

Decided to erase all backups and start over with a new backup set.

Trying to do a fresh full backup has failed twice after several hours and 700+GB in backup filesize with the same error (see attached):

"Failed to open backup \\10.0.0.150\backupfolder\backupfile.tib.
Make sure the backup location is accessible and contains all version of the backup.  This backup may also be corrupted.

More information....event code at: http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/

Javier, if you have erased all your backups outside of ATIH 2014 then this may be the reason for the error you are seeing - the Acronis database is out of sync with the files for your backup task.

You should open ATIH 2014, select your backup task, click on the cog wheel at the right-end of the task and take the option from the drop-down menu to Validate your backup task.

This should throw an error for each missing backup image file which you can take the Ignore option for.

The alternative would be to delete the whole backup task and create a new task - if doing this, then please choose a different name for the task to the one giving errors, and also choose a different target folder on your NAS for the backup images.

Indeed!

After clicking Validate, was able to Browse to the existing backup file.  Validation completed and backup was reported valid.

Steve, I appreciate the time you took to reply and for including the snapshot of the menu I needed to access.
