Acronis TrueImage Home 2010 crashing on startup, help!

Thread needs solution

Hi!

I am using Windows 7 32bit, with Acronis TrueImage 2010 (the latest build, downloaded it yesterday). Since this morning, I cannot get TrueImage to start, and I get an error message when I start it up (see attached file). I was using it for Nonstop backup on my System hard disk drive...

Thank you for finding time to report about the issye, I will surely be glad to help.

It's hard to say what exactly went wrong, but looks like it cannot connect to some of our dll files. Let's try the following:

  1. Uninstall current build of the product with the help of Acronis CleanUp Utility. It will delete all the corrupted traces from the machine.
  2. Temporary disable all third party protection software (antivirus, firewall, backup solution) and run the installation file again.

After that please check whether the issue persists. Should it be present, please send me (or contact support directly) the following information:

  1. Exact sequence of steps performed
  2. Crash dump
  3. Acronis Info from the machine in question

This will help us to identify the issue and provide you with an appropriate solution.

Thank you ever so much! The Acronis CleanUp Utility did a great job in removing the software, and then I reinstalled the latest build. It works fine now!
