Acronis unable to find saved disk images on USB external hard drive
I've been using Acronis for the last six months to make disk images on my USB external hard drive, and it all works well in Windows (Vista). I have set it up so pressing F11 at the boot stage brings up the Acronis software, and also have created a bootable DVD.
I was advised to do a test boot before I do an upgrade to Win7, in order to test the disk image backup facility. However, although Acronis sees the USB external hard drive on my F drive, it shows no files or folders on the drive to choose. It sees the external drive as empty. This happens with both the F11 method and the bootable DVD method. Yet still, in Windows, I can see the disk images, validate them and make new disk images.
Any help? I'm a bit of a rookie using stuff such as command prompts and going into BIOS etc - so please go easy on me. :)

Thank you - this was the issue! My backups show on the G drive when booting up and not on the F drive. I'm so glad this was a simple problem and thank you for your reply!
