Acronis won't continue to backup scheduled tasks after failed backup.

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone.

I have a problem with Acronis True Image Home 2010. The program is running on network machine and it is backing up my emails on my laptop. There are also some other local backups scheduled on that network machine. Recently, when I've left my home (with the laptop) the backup task for emails obviously failed but the problem is that the other local scheduled tasks were ignored. The program didn't even try to perform any backup.

How can I fix this problem? So the program continues with other scheduled task even when one of them is unable to perform a backup.

Best regards,
Rudolf.

Have you looked at the log file to see what error messages might be there.
For the tasks not run, have you CONFIRMED that the intended storage location is available?

When I look into the log there is only the first task displayed, other tasks have been ignored (did not perform any backup that day).

Log shows up this information:

1. [Information]: Operation Rudolf-Mail-Profiles started.
2. [Information]: Priority changed to Low.
3. [Error]: File or folder '\\PC-RUDOLF\Users\Rudolf\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\' cannot be found.
4. [Error]: Failed to back up file or folder '\\PC-RUDOLF\Users\Rudolf\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\'. Specified file does not exist.
5. [Error]: There is nothing to back up. (0x40011) | Tag = 0xA8EFE083374AEA7
6. [Error]: Operation has completed with errors. This is everything that my log displayed.

Now, the problem is not the actual email backup but the other backups that were ignored. Is there any solution on how to fix this?

Try tracing the path of the missing files listed above. The backup says the path does not exist. May be as connection problem.

If necessary, try a new task to replace the ones not working.

Thank you for the reply.

But I think you are not getting my point. The problem is not the actual log that I have posted above. I do not need to track the path because that is the path to my emails in Thunderbird and obviously the backup cannot be executed when the laptop is not connected. (I have no problem with this.)

The PROBLEM is that there are other backups that are not being executed after this error occurs. And there is nothing else in the log.

Is there any option for this kind of a problem?

The task which is attempting to run and fails.
Maybe changing the error handling down to a count of 1 might help to allow the other tasks to run, but this is a guess on my part.

Do any of the tasks which fail to run provide any log information?

Thank you again for your response and patience.

The screenshot that you have posted looks promising but sadly I don't see any settings like that on my screen when I go to error handling section.

Other non-executed tasks are not producing any sort of log information.

EDIT: I am using version: Acronis True Image Home 2010 (build 5 055)

Sorry, I can only suggest that you uninstall and re-install,
or restore a backup back when thiings were working correctly.

Rudolf,
As 2010 version is seveal years old and not supported any longer, I believe your only choice is to uninstall and reinstall and hope that fixes your problem.

Hi Rudolf,

This is a long shot, but I had a problem with backups stored to local USB drives not starting when I had the option in the advanced settings for scheduling for Missed Backups "Run when the current device is attached" turned on. I am using ATI 2014 in a Windows 7 64 bit environment. I couldn't even start the backup manually by pressing the "Back up now" button. There were no logs of any kind; not even a failure. Sounds like your symptoms, even though you are using a different version of ATI. Maybe this problem with ATI is the result of a recent MS update. Turning off the "Run when the current device is attached" fixed the problem.
