Activation problem when opening program

True Image 2015 build 6525.
Recently purchased for three computers [upgrade from previous version]. Have installed it on two. On my laptop everything works fine, however on my desktop every time I open the program the activation fails. It says "Activation failed due to connection error. Days remaining 30."
As soon as I click the "try again" button it activates immediately. It's as though something is blocking the activation attempt right when opening the program. I'm using Windows firewall and everything in there looks ok.
The computer runs Windows 7 with a cable internet connection - always connected.
Anybody know what's causing this? As said no problem with my laptop running Win 8.1.
