Add existing backup not showing up
Recently acquired a Lenovo ThinkPad T480. I detached the original NVMe SSD and slotted into my desktop motherboard to perform a complete disk backup, for restoration to a bigger SSD. (The restored SSD failed to boot in the ThinkPad but that is a different story for another day)
After the restoration, I removed that backup (i.e. ThinkPad T480_original_Intel_SSD.tib) from the UI's backup list, since it's a one-off.
Today I wanted to re-evaluate the backup, and tried to add it back, but no matter how many times I performed it, the backup simply won't show up in the list.
No error messages of any sort. What am I missing?

I didn't show the main UI because there's no change at all. The selected backup file will not appear in the list. Only my scheduled backups are persisted.

Aaron, I can only suggest doing a Repair Install to see if that will resolve this issue. I haven't used ATI 2015 for some years now but have screen images showing that this was working for me back when I did use it.
A repair install is done by installing the same software over the top of the existing without uninstalling first.

I initiated a latest-version repair installation, to no avail. I attempted a repair installation of the Media Add-ons components (which shouldn't matter since they're unrelated) as well, which expectedly has no effect either.

Aaron, the next suggestion would be to try a clean install of ATI 2015 after doing a normal uninstall then using the Acronis Cleanup tool (link below), but you may want to try a couple of other options first.
Open C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts and check how many .tib.tis files you see there - these are the XML script files behind the backup tasks in your ATI GUI but where you may see more files than tasks shown in the GUI.
If you want to save the .tib.tis files that represent your backup tasks, this can save some time when doing a clean install by copying these files back before launching ATI.
Also in C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\ is the Database folder which holds information on your backup history and activity but which can get itself in a mess at times! Renaming or deleting the Database folder can force a rebuild of this information and could be worth trying for this situation.
Note: in order to delete or rename the Database folder, you first need to stop all running Acronis Services then after doing so, end all running Acronis Processes (in that order!) or else the Database folder / files will be locked!

Ok I have a better idea why the existing backup won't show on the list - ATI thinks that backup file is part of an existing backup plan on list. Since it's already "there", why should ATI insert a new list item?
When I initiate a Validate command on the said .tib file in Windows Explorer, ATI will show it validating DIABLO_photos backup files instead. They're unrelated of course.
Something somewhere in ATI has somehow confused it to think that individual .tib file is actually a part of that listed backup set.

When I first checked out C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts there some leftover old .tib.tis backup configurations dating from 2011. I deleted them since they don't apply to the three active backup plans.
Deleting off the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database folder to force a rebuild works! I can finally add the backups back to the list.
