add new data to backup (partition with os and programs) or create new backup

Thread needs solution

After creating acronis backup (partition with os and programs) I installed several programs and want to add new data to backup. How do I do it? What do you recommend: add new data to backup (partition with os and programs) or create new backup?

You can't add anything to an existing .tib archive, but you do have choices when you create the new backup. My own preference is, unless you have a huge amount of data, to usually create full disk backups. Create a full disk backup, selecting the checkbox for the entire disk (not just individual partitions). That ensures that you have everything you need, and you won't need to understand how the disk is laid out with possible hidden partitions. A full disk backup captures everything, and is the simplest, safest backup method.

To reduce the size of subsequent backups, you could choose Incremental or Differential.

You should not allow an incremental chain to become too long. An incremental restore depends upon every incremental in the chain being valid, including the original full. It's better to limit each chain to just a few incrementals, followed by a fresh full backup to start a new chain.
