adding cloned windows 7 second drive to my windows 8 laptop

Hi
I have purchased a new laptop with windows 8 pre installed.
I have my old laptop with windows 7 untimate installed.

I want to dual boot my new laptop to either the new windows 8 or my old windows 7.
I have a 500GB SSD drive with windows 8 on my new laptop.
My new laptop also has a 1tb second drive that was empty.

I used acronis 2014 premium. to backup the old laptop win 7 drive onto my USB external drive.
I used acronis 2014 premium to universal restore that image onto the 2nd drive of my new laptop.

I cannot see any boot menu
I can see all the files on the restored/cloned win 7 2nd drive.

my bios is something called UEFI and APTIO.

I have tried many things like bcdboot and messing around with the BIOS settings. Disable secure boot, turn on CSM.
Nothing seems to work and I don't want to break my windows 8.

Any hard cores out there? I am hoping for brilliance. I need step by step.
