Adding an existing backup to the list - Does it work?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

After uninstalling and reinstalling True Image 2015 (6615) - see my recent message regarding an unrecoverable error - I tried to add my existing backups in the vain hope that they would continue as before the crash. Sadly I found that all the Source information had been lost together with quite a bit of the Configuration Information. I also found that the title reflected the last tib file selected, including the bizarre versioning suffix, rather than just the series root from which it was derived.

After trying to reinstate the missing information and removing the versioning from the backup name, I hoped the backups would continue (perhaps with a bit more or less information being backed up). Sadly not, Some of the versioning information of new differential backups suggested they were based on much earlier Full backups from the series and for the backups which were Incremental, after one seemingly successful Incremental tib file was produced, the next run failed with an inability to find backup version 1.

Crock of poo or what?

Has anyone ever managed to reload and continue an existing backup with Acronis? If so, how?

Kind regards, Stefan
