After installing True Image (Trial) - Network problems

Thread needs solution

I've installed the Trued Image Trial, on both my computer, and also my wife's system. In both cases, once the program is installed, the Networked, shared hard disks are no longer accessible. I get the error of"Not enough server storage is available to process the command."

Luckily, I was able to find a website on-line with the solution. However, I've lost the website with the instructions to fix the problem.

Just to detail them, as I have it - go into Regedit,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
\SYSTEM
\CurrentControlSet
\LanmanServer
\Parameters
IRPStackSize DWORD 0X0000000F (15)

If not there, Create the DWord entry, and set it to a value of 16 or higher.

Then, your networked Hard Drives can be accessed from another computer.
If I find the website, I will post it.
The website clearly indicates Acronis caused the problem.
I would be interested in hearing comments from customer support on this.
I had completely reformatted my Hard Disk, and re-installed Windows XP Pro BEFORE I
FOUND THE WEBSITE WITH THE INFORMATION. Together with other software re-installations,
I lost about 1 1/2 days trying to resolve this problem.

I downloaded the Trial, to try it before I buy, - THANKFULLY SO.
I would like to hear from Tech Support regarding this problem, although I have it fixed,
I would still like an answer BEFORE I buy the product.

Larry, I think it is 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

Microsoft are aware that other programs (including their own) can cause a lack of resources - they actually have a tech note about it.

See - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/198386/en-us

Nortons AV version 7 can also cause this problem.
