After yesterdays update - application will not open

Thread needs solution

I updated ATIH 2012 as usual yesterday

rebooted several times

ATIH will not open

Please advise

W7 64 bit

Download the new 2012 installation file from your own personal account .

Restart the install program and choose the REPAIR option.

May have to do with scanning for backups on load. Grover has an excellent post on this.

I did and
installation has failed.

Uninstall 2012, use the clean up utility and follow carefully the instructions here http://kb.acronis.com/content/24545
reboot
reinstall the latest build.

You ran installer of 5545 version, which refused to install because you have more recent build installed.

the update has run successfully

but the app still wont open

Please help

or share acronis alternatives - I dont need to spend my weekend on this!

same issue the app wont open

In my account i only have access to the 5545 build is that the right one?

You need to register your 2012 serial number with Acronis and then you will be able to access the more recent releases which is 7119 for the 2012 version.
