APPCRASH error during installation of Acronis True Image Home 2011 on Windows 7 Pro x64

Thread needs solution

Hi,

when I download on of the Acronis True Image Home 2011 builds (5105, 5519 or 6597) on www.acronis.com, after dubble-click on the exe-file, it pops up a windows that the programm doesn't work anymore because appcrash:

Have you had TI 2010 installed previously?

Do you get to the True Image splash screen where you get the menu choice of 'Check for Updates, Install or Open User Guide' ?

If you can get to the above screen try extracting the MSI installer for 2011 and see if that installs? To extract the installer, right click on the Install True Image button from the splash screen and select extract. Try installing the MSI file.

I notice the above error states build 5519, do you report 5519 when you try 6597 or does it report build 6597?

Have you tried running the program as Administrator?

I agree with Colin, and just wanted to add that in order to find out the reason of the crash you may want to provide us with the Userdump of the installation file alongside with Acronis Info.
