Arconis Startup Recovery Manager and Arconis Boot-CD didn't react
Hi at all,
I have and use Acronis True Image 2009 Home (Build #9809) for my Windows XP SP3 Systembackup.
Last week I had the problem, that I can't rebuild my image, because this was saved in a RAID1 and Acronis True Image can't access this. Now I installed my OS new and will backup my system image on a single S-ATA device.
I create the Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue Media CD and also the Acronis Secure Zone with the Acronis Recovery Manager. So far, so good.
Now to my general issue. When I will boot Acronis True Image from Acronis Recovery Manager or with the Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue Media CD I can't choose boot/start option. I got the normal boot screens to boot Acronis True Image or Windows but my mouse and my keyboard didn't react and the Windows boot after 10 sec. automatically.
I havn't any idea why this is so. Before I installed my OS new the mouse and the keyboard works fine with Recovery Manager and the Rescue Media CD.
The only change I did is my S-ATA devices works in the AHCI mode but I can't believe, that this is the reason for this issue with my mouse and my keyboard.
Have anyone a solution for my?
I hope you know what I mean, because my English isn't well.
Kind regards,
René

If you're using a USB mouse and keyboard, have you checked the Legacy USB setting in the BIOS? If it's enabled, try it disabled. If it's disabled, try it enabled.
Changing controller modes can affect other things than the controller. It depends on the Linux drivers and how they handle the system.
When using the TI CD, have you tried the quiet acpi=off noapic option detailed in Section II of the Read Before You Post thread?
Does the SafeMedia (Safe Mode) version of TI work from the CD? To use it, you'd need to download it from your Acronis account, install it, and create a CD that includes it.

Hi MudCrab,
the mouse and the keyboard are booth connected with USB and in the BIOS is the Legacy USB setting enabled, like before the re-installation from the OS.
I've tried the acpi=off noapic command at the creation from the TI CD but the mouse and the keyboard are friezed. The command is just for the Linuxboot, I think?!
I also tried a automatically start from TI (full-version) after 10 sec. and the automatically start from TI (safe-version) after 10 sec. Booth options works to load the Linuxkernel but I can't user my mouse or the keyboard to choose the start options before TI boot.
The issue isn't the TI boot but the friezed mouse and keyboard at the TI Media CD and the TI Recovery Manager.

Hello René,
I will do everything possible in order to resolve the issue you experience.
Please download ISO image based on ISOLinux from your account under Registered Products and create Acronis bootable disc using third-party software. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released.
ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Check the following article for more details.
I have also sent you ISO image of the same rescue media via private message.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thank you.

Hi Dmitry,
thanks for you help.
I will try the image this evening and let you know what will be the result.
When I have time, then I will try TI 2010 to have a analogy when the ISO you send me will not run.
Kind regards

Thanks for you help Dmitry.
The ISO works fine and I tested yesterday different things to rebuild a systemimage and worked with all variants of problems.
I have only one question:
If its possible to got the ISO in germen and/or is the ISO image the same like the native bootable TI media in the "My Products & Downloads" area?
Kind regards
