Are hidden folders backed up if...
Excuse me this relates to TI 2014. I will update or upgrade to 2015 and 2016 if necessary. There are a number of posts about hidden folders but it would take me too long to find one which addresses my question if one exists. I've complained about this before, your search facility is not intelligent enough to really help.
My question in a nutshell:
Are hidden folders backed up if it they are unhidden temporarily for setting it to be backed up and then after that is done reset to hidden as normal?
I wrote this in a Knowledge Base article about this subject which was on the subject but useless for my question:
Your discussion is not complete. I certainly can unhide the file tree under <user>\AppData and then set TI 2014 to backup the folder for WMail .\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail. BUT since I don't generally want the AppData file tree to remain unhidden your discussion gives no assurance that once the backup specification is set and AppData is switched back to hidden that TI 2014 will backup those files!! So would TI2014 backup files in a hidden directory after the program has been set to do it while the folder was temporarily unhidden to allow the setting to be made?
