ATI 10 Home Can't Complete Full Backup

Thread needs solution

After successfully performing a partition C: restore, a scheduled differential backup failed with the message Secure Zone is Full. An attempt to perform a full backup of C: (76 GB) to Secure Zone (120 GB on another internal drive) failed with the message Secure Zone is Full - increase the size of the SZ. In the past, a manual full backup always worked when the SZ filled up with differential backups. A full backup is supposed to replace the entire contents of the SZ, which should be large enough to fit the much smaller source.

Hello Ron,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

Acronis True Image 10.0 Home uses the following scheme to clean up Acronis Secure Zone:

- If there is not enough free space in the zone to create a backup, the program deletes the oldest full backup with all subsequent incremental/differential backups.

- If there is only one full backup (with subsequent incremental/differential backups) left and a full backup is in progress, then the old full backup and incremental/differential backups are deleted.

- Otherwise, (only one full backup left, and an incremental/differential backup is in progress) you will get a message about space error. In that case you will have to either re-create the full backup or increase Acronis Secure Zone.

In case manual full backup can’t be completed successfully the only way to resolve the issue is slightly increase Acronis Secure Zone (tools -> manage Acronis Secure Zone -> increase size).
